Kajsa Widegren (born 1974) holds a PhD in gender studies from the University of Gothenburg and works as a research coordinator at the National Secretariat for Gender Research. She has written about artistic representations of gender, age and sexuality in contemporary Swedish culture since her thesis Ett annat flickrum: Gender, Age and Sexuality in Maria Lindberg's, Anna-Maria Ekstrand's and Helene Billgren's Girl Pictures. Her latest publication is ‘The Pink Lady. Anna-Maria Ekstrand and the Feminine’ in the anthology A New Freedom: Seventeen Artists, 2018.
